July 2021 Fellows Meeting

All-Virtual Event | July 14-15, 2021

Fellows meetings are not just another conference. These high-level meetings rely heavily on face-to-face engagement, conversation between practitioners and group discussion to provide the most benefit to you. ECI’s Fellows Meetings are exclusive gatherings of Fellows Members that happen twice per year. At Fellows meetings, you will have the opportunity to participate in high-level discussions, exclusive keynote presentations and hands-on breakout sessions that are all designed to help you achieve your goals as a senior-level E&C leader. Fellows participants are a global group of high-level E&C Directors, Chief Ethics & Compliance Officers, other C-Suite leaders and esteemed academics that are all familiar with the challenges you face as an E&C leader and eager to share their stories, strategies and challenges with others. The 2021 July Fellows Meeting will be an all-virtual event — information about the platform and how to access the event will be sent in your registration confirmation email.

Understanding and Supporting Corporate Governance

Corporate governance is evolving in response to unprecedented developments and challenges within and outside organizations.  Systemic crises, the rising tide of ESG, and social justice issues are just a few of the many challenges and opportunities facing companies, shareholders, employees and other stakeholders. The July ECI Fellows meeting will explore corporate governance in the context of Ethics and Compliance and consider the supporting role that high quality E&C programs play.

ESG (Environmental Social Governance) refers to factors that socially-conscious investors take into account when making choices about where to invest their money.  Interest in the concept brought an explosion in media coverage in 2020 and the trend has continued to accelerate in 2021.  Ethics and Compliance programs are often seen as a function with overlapping interests in the ESG movement and are increasingly being asked to lend support and expertise as companies integrate the model into existing functions and structures.  This panel discussion will explore the role of governance in the context of ESG and how Ethics and Compliance programs are adapting and evolving in the ESG mindset.
